How to get to Naxos

Although it is possible to take a ferry from Athens to Naxos, the most convenient way to travel is by plane. There are direct flights from Athens to Naxos, and the journey takes just over an hour. If you are flying from another country, you will likely have to make a stop in Athens before continuing on to Naxos. Once you arrive at the airport, there are plenty of taxis and buses that can take you into town. 

The airport of Naxos is located approximately 4km southwest from the island’s capital. Its IATA airport code is JNX and its runway is only 900m long.
